Easy Protein Breakfast

Breakfast and easy are two words that we all need to go together. High protein, breakfast and easy is even better still. Here is a very simple breakfast packed with protein, fibre, nutrients and flavour to add to your morning routine. If you love a coffee too, there is room for additional macros and calories here.

Not everyone wants to count calories, but understanding the basics of how to build a nutritious meal becomes even more important as our hormones and body change over the years.


PROTEIN

Protein plays many important roles in the human body including:

  • Providing the building blocks for bones, muscles, cartilage and skin.

  • Making enzymes that are important for digestion.

  • Building and repairing tissues in the body.

  • Increasing satiety of a meal.

FIBRE

Fibre is important for:

  • Healthy digestion and elimination.

  • Increasing satiety of a meal.

HEALTHY FATS

Healthy fats include monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and some saturated fats which are important for:

  • Supporting optimal cholesterol levels.

  • Absorption of fat-soluble vitamins A,D, E & K.

  • Cellular repair.

DELICIOUS

Foods needs to not only be nutritious but also delicious otherwise what's the point? Add in a sprinkle of cinnamon or chai mixed spices if you need some extra taste!
