More Than Fitness: What Midlife Women Really Need

What's Changing?

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know how passionate I am about helping women feel strong, energised, and connected to themselves — especially during midlife. For years, I’ve offered mobile personal training sessions across Newcastle, and I’ve had the privilege of working with so many incredible women.


But over time, I’ve realised something really important — and I want to share it with you honestly:


Personal Training Alone Isn’t Enough

Not for the women I work with. Not if they want real, lasting change.

Yes, movement matters. Strength training matters. Consistency matters.But when women come to me in their 40s, 50s and beyond — often tired, stressed, overwhelmed, gaining weight despite doing “everything right” — I know that an hour of exercise a couple of times a week isn’t going to turn everything around.


It’s not that fitness doesn’t help. It’s that fitness alone isn’t the answer. Not anymore.

What Actually Moves the Needle at Midlife?

To truly thrive during perimenopause and menopause, we have to look at the whole picture:


  • Sleep quality and routine

  • Nutrition that supports hormones and energy — not restriction or fad diets

  • Breathwork and stress regulation

  • Mindset and how we talk to ourselves

  • Daily movement, not just what happens in a session

  • Lifestyle habits that align with your goals

  • A sense of purpose, joy, and connection to yourself


If we skip those things and just “train hard,” we often just add more stress to an already stressed system. When it comes to health and wellness at midlife, it’s clear that it takes more than fitness to feel truly vibrant and balanced. This is exactly what midlife women really need — a comprehensive approach that includes sleep, nutrition, mindset, breathwork, and lifestyle support alongside exercise.


More Than Fitness: What Midlife Women Really Need to Thrive

After working in the fitness industry since 2011, I’ve gathered a toolkit that goes far beyond sets and reps. I’m trained in breathwork, nutrition, mindset coaching, and lifestyle support — and honestly, I’d be doing a disservice if I didn’t bring all of that to the table.

That’s why I’ve made the decision to stop offering standalone personal training sessions. Because it’s not the best use of your time, your money, or my energy. And I care too much to keep pretending it is.


What I Offer Now

If you want to lose weight, feel more energised, build strength, and truly take care of yourself during this transition — then I’m here to walk alongside you.


I now offer comprehensive coaching packages that include personal training alongside breathwork, nutrition support, mindset coaching, and lifestyle tools. You still get the fitness guidance — but now it’s within a program that actually supports the whole you.


Because when we support your nervous system, your habits, and your hormones — that’s when everything starts to shift.

Oh — and yes, you can work with me 100% online if you're not local to Newcastle or if you prefer the flexibility of training and coaching from home. My online clients get the same level of support, structure, and transformation as those I see in person.
